Apple and cinnamon cake

Ingredients:
🍏 3 large apples (preferably from Polish orchards, e.g. Ligol, Jonagold)
🥚 3 eggs
🥛 200 ml milk
🧈 100 g butter (melted)
🥄 200 g all-purpose flour
🥄 1 teaspoon baking powder
🧂 A pinch of salt
🍬 150 g sugar (can be replaced with honey for a healthier version)
🍂 2 teaspoons cinnamon
🍋 Juice of half a lemon
🌰 50 g almond flakes (for sprinkling)
👩‍🍳 Preparation:
1️⃣ Preparing the dough
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and melted butter 🧈.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
2️⃣ Preparing the Apples
Wash and peel 🍏 the apples, remove the cores, and dice them.
Dry them with lemon juice 🍋 to prevent them from browning, and sprinkle with cinnamon 🍂.
3️⃣ Assembling the Cake
Pour half the batter into a greased baking pan (preferably one with a chimney).
Add a layer of apples, then pour in the remaining batter.
Place the remaining apples on top and sprinkle with almond flakes 🌰.
4️⃣ Baking
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 40-45 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
5️⃣ Serving
Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool. Serve warm or cold, preferably with a cup of tea ☕.
